Tilth Retreats: Learning While Relaxing
I’ve planned and implemented gluten-free, allergen-free holiday meals, party menus, wine tastings, and wedding receptions. Now it’s time to put it all together for something new.
Tilth Retreats, the most recent addition to my services, are a way to immerse yourself in a gluten-free, allergen-free lifestyle so that you get to relax and enjoy yourself while developing a working familiarity with preparation methods for safe, delicious, and (mostly!) healthy food–while enjoying the beautiful, soothing surroundings of the sunny beach, autumnal mountains, or wintry woods.
As a small group (max 8 participants), we will spend three and a half days together* doing mostly hands-on work–making gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and other-allergen-free (allergens excluded will vary based on participant needs) breakfasts, lunches, snacks, dinners, and desserts. We’ll have lessons on special topics, such as ways to help the gut heal from its dysfunction. We’ll practice recipe alteration using some of your favorite recipes. We’ll also have downtime where you get to choose whether to go on an adventure or just relax. Of course, you’ll be able to ask questions throughout the time about your particular situation. In general, you’ll get to develop kinship with and learn from people who understand your food struggles and triumphs.

Future Tilth Retreat Locations
Hoping for a Tilth Retreat in your area? Have a gluten-free, casein-free group that could use a retreat? Want some training on your family vacation? Contact me! My team and I will travel to a wide range of locations to host Tilth Retreats.
*Note: Tilth Retreats are held in vacation homes where our presence is temporary. The kitchens are doubly cleaned, with all surfaces vacuumed, before the start of the retreat. We bring in our own, safe cutting boards to use. However, the environments cannot be guaranteed to be safe from all traces of allergenic contaminants. You are responsible for your own safety; use wise judgment if you are concerned about anaphylactic reactions.
